Written Self-Evaluation
This has been a very busy year, but I have learned so much. I know that I will be a much more successful principal and educational leader because of all the good things that I have learned and the experiences I have had. I have been involved in most every way within my school district helping my school improve and grow. I have been able to learn from many school leaders including my business manager, k-12 principal, instructional coach, superintendent, special education director, school reading specialist, and many others. They have taken me under their wings and given me opportunities to learn and grow. Although I still have so much to learn, I look forward to the time that I can use these skills in an actual leadership position. I know there will be a lot to handle and accomplish, but I am ready to give it my all in fighting for an excellent education for our children.
Although there is so much that I have learned, I understand that when I am offered my first position and up until that point there is so much more to learn. I feel excited about the future. I know that I have a lot t give. It is interesting that just yesterday I was talking to two friends that are teachers from different cities, and they each volunteered information on what they like about their current principles, and what they would like to see improve. Luckily I have been working with a principle who is a good manager and has taken control of discipline in our school. One tendency I have is to be a really nice person, and I must remember to manage and lead by example and to set high expectations, not only for performance, but also for what is permissible to ensure a positive, safe, clean, and effective learning environment. I'm excited for what the future will hold.
